Former Indian Cricket Team Opener Shiv sunder Das appointed as the selection committee member of BCCI.Das is among five member committee from eastern India.There are 600 applicants applied for the post throughout India.Among them eleven members are called for personal interview. At last five members are selected for the selection committee member. Again Chetan Sarma selected for the post of chief sector among the five members committee. Opener Das is the second person from odisha to get the selection committee member after former odia International cricketer Debasish Mohanty.
Due to his best performance in domestic cricket,Das was selected for the National team during the 90th centuries.He has played 180 first class cricket,and scored more than 10,000 runs. Among them,there are 24 centuries and 52 half centuries included.Due to his performance ,he was selected for the National team.
Das first started his international debut against Bangladesh test match in the year 2000 November 10 at Dhaka.He have played 23 test match, where he scored 1,326 runs having 2 centuries.Then he joined in one day cricket match in the year 2001.He have played only 4 one day matches.His first class cricket career ended in the year 2012.His last match played for the Bidarva .Then he selected for the main catch of odisha cricket team.After that ,he was the Indian women cricket team batting coach for the year 2021.
