Odisha's mass education minister resigned.

Odisha mass education minister Samer Das resigned from the state ministerial post. Due her role has been questioned in connection with a BJD Zilla Parishad member, Dharmendra Sahoo's suicide in September last year.BID lost the ZP bypoll necessitated by Sahoo's death in the Puri district earlier this month. In the last year ministry reshuffled Samer Das and remain in the same post without any changes.

But the sudden resignation surprised the people. In her statement, Samer Das told that she requested the chief minister that I want to work for the party. I would like to do organisational work. Before the general election of 2024, it may be the last result of Naveen Pattnaik's government.

There are more probable candidates to get the ministry posts. Among them, Raurkela MLA Sarada Jena and former minister Susanta Singh and southern MLA Latika Pradhan may get the ministerial post.
