Internationalization of Indian management education.
Indian management education is all poised for a paradigm shift.B-schools are now leaning more towards practical and experiential learning. This shift is driven by an increasing demand for business leaders, who are well equipped to navigate complexities of the modern business landscape. Many business schools are now incorporating more case studies, simulations, and real world projects into their curriculum.
Management education in India is also getting largely interdisciplinary and cross functional, Business schools are increasing recognising the need for managers to have a wide range of skills, including communication, leadership and problem solving. As a result, there has been a push towards curricula that integrate subjects such as economics, psychology, and sociology.
Indian B-schools have been partnering with institutions abroad to offer joint degree programmes and exchange programs. This trend is driven by the growing global nature of business,as well as the recognition that managers need to be able to navigate different cultural and economic environments. This has led to the internationalization of education.
Overall, the trends in management education in India reflect a recognition that the business world is constantly evolving, and that managers need to be adaptable and able to think critically to succeed.Business schools are responding by offering more practical, interdisciplinary and globally focused programmes that give students the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in the modern business world.
ENCOURAGING ENTREPRENEURIAL ECOSYSTEMS
Indian youth should think in terms of creating jobs rather than seeking jobs. Its true in today's context, says,Dr Anant Sardeshmukh,a management counsel.Hence the entire focus of B-schools should be on producing firstly entrepreneurs and then intrapreneurs. Both are tasked with developing an innovative idea or a project, creating enterprises and jobs required by the masses.Accordingly, B-schools primary role would be to convert the mindset of its students from job seekers to job B-schools need to develop entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial personalities.who are curious and have the quality of skill of idea generation, and analytical thinking to further develop the idea. The other important skills are risk tolerance, team building, experimentation, and most importantly, acceptance of a failure,All these skills can be honest by indulging in a activities that would provide opportunities for experimentation. The B-schools should think of activities that would provide such opportunities.Every activity, and programme in a B-school should seek not only student participation but involvement, where teachers are just mentors,he opines.

that India is one among the top ten nations when it comes to students persuing MBA and equivalent courses,India has the highest number of management institutions. The growth and development have been witnessed more after the liberalisation, privatisation and globalisation of the Indian economy.Though the number-wise it is quite large, unfortunately, there is a wide disparity in terms of quality. For management students and B-schools, industry linkages are of paramount importance. We must find ways to improve the benchmarks of our management education,Dr Pattanayak points out.
