Brajrajnagar by-election on May 31.

Odisha legislative assembly seat Brajaraj nagar seat by-election will be held on May 31.Election commissioner will  issue notification on May 4.Candidates will submit their nomination from may 4 to 11 dates.Nomination will scrutinize on May 12.May 16 is the nomination withdrawal last date finalized.Odisha Brajaraja nagar seat was vacant due to its sitting BJD MLA Kishore Mohanty was died due to heart attack on 30th December 2021.In 2019 odisha legislative election, Brajaraja nagar seat was won by ruling BJD party candidate Kishor Mohanty.After the death of Kishore Mohanty,the seat was vacant.In the 2019 legislative assembly election late Kishore Mohanty defeated his nearer BJP candidate Radharani panda by the margin of 11000 vote differences.After the death of late Kishore Mohanty ,there is speculation regarding the BJD candidature aspirants.There are many candidates name comes under discussion for this by-election race,where his wife Alaka mohanty one of them.Then opposition party BJP and congress also takes this election as a  challenge to capture the seat  from the ruling BJD party.
